Mothers have been quite creative in their preparation of birthday cakes. Here are recipes of few awesome Birthday Cakes:Beach CakeThe mother of an eight year old hosted a party at one of the city pools. Since her daughter was fascinated by the ocean, she decided to bake a cake with decorations of a beach.

This is how she did it First she baked a cake and let it cool. She iced the entire confection with a thin layer of white icing.

For the sand she cleverly chose granulated brown sugar. The ocean was created by using piping gel colored with blue icing paste and then she roughed up with the tip of the spatula to create a looks of waves. The next part is quite exciting. She striped two sides of icing bag with the same blue icing paste so that when she piped the swirl border it gave an effect of ocean-foam. She also placed a beach umbrella and towel from Barbie play set.The child’s ecstasy was obvious from the mother’s quote, “Of all the cakes I have made, I believe this one was my favorite birthday cake recipe.
