1 onion, chopped
1/2 green pepper, chopped
2 lbs. ground beef
1 can tomatoes
1 can tomato sauce
1 can kidney beans
1 1/3 c. water
1 pkg. chili mix
Sauté ground meat with onion and green pepper. Strain off fat. Add 1 cup water into tomatoes and sauce, and cook for around 10 minutes. Add chili mix and cayenne pepper. (A word of caution: - it could be really fiery so use accordingly)! Boil it for 45 minutes. Then mix a thick paste of white masa flour in water and mix it with the dish. Add kidney beans and simmer for another 10 minutes before serving. Chili pepper dishes are not recommended for breast feeding mothers as the baby's stomach is highly sensitive to spicy food.
