The decorations done at a dance party are for setting the mood that will encourage guests to dance, not only at the beginning, but also throughout the party till the end . Material
The material used for a dance party decoration is a very important issue. Since, there is going to be food and drinks moving around in the hands of the guests, care should be taken that soluble materials or things that will get damaged by water must be avoided . The venue of the party should also be considered. Use of thermocol or light weight material for an out door party must be avoided . Similarly, use of too many lights for an indoor non AC hall is bad since it only increases the heat and makes everyone irritable .
While decorating for dance parties, utmost care must be taken that there no loose wires lying around. Otherwise, there are big chances of guests tripping over them while dancing. For theme based dance decorations, each and every detail can be related to the theme . All visual elements like door curtains, window curtains etc . may have the same color or pattern.
Vegetables can be used for decoration at a housewives party, parts manufactured by the company can be used fro decoration at a corporate dance party . Paper, flowers, computer hardware, CDs and floppies can also be used for theme oriented dance parties.
Small things, large joys
There are many small items that can be used in dance party to make more happening . Fancy caps or hats can be given to every guest. Face masks, eye glasses, necklaces etc . are also some of the items that can be distributed to every guest. These create a sense of togetherness among all age groups and cultures. The umbrellas or awnings, coverings could be bright colored or belonging to the party theme.
Fancy props or false columns can be placed to demarcate various spaces. These could also be decorated in synchronization with the theme and the music. Space frames or wall-less rooms can be erected with flower strands or paper bands hanging on the edges. These may or may not be enclosed from top. Coming to the food part, which is certainly one of the important things other than dance. Table cloths, paper napkins, paper dishes, the bowls, everything can be printed of the same theme as that of the party.
Then there are other items as well, which are low-priced, easily available, yet great options for dance parties. A balloon is one of them. Balloons of various shapes and sizes, come in nice pastel shades and harmless for dancers too. Ribbon is another harmless element. Ribbons when tied around pillars or left loose with on end tied, create the perfect mood with their ripples in the air. Their movement keeps the atmosphere alive and imparts a sense of flamboyance to the whole atmosphere.
