Valentines Day has a history and origin from the past, on this day people celebrate love worldwide . The size of the card will be 4 1/4" by 5 1/2" and the card will fit into standard envelope size is 4 3/8" by 5 3/4" . This classic handmade card of Love will make your valentine day special . All the materials you need are one piece 8-1/2" by 11" white card, scrap piece of red cardstock for heart punch, two red or metallic mini brads, glue stick, one piece printed vellum . The other tools you need to use are word processor example : Ms Word, paper cutter, scissors, small hole punch, one inch heart punch and some good looking fonts which you can download from internet . The next step is using your word processor, first setup your page to landscape . Landscape means horizontal position of the paper .
The steps in Ms Word: File > Page Setup > Paper Size >Landscape. Format the page so it has two columns and the steps are Format > ; Columns > Two. Set the bottom margin to 7" and now slide the margins on the left . In the first column, set the font to size 72, color dark red, font as you like and type the text \'Be Mine\' . Copy this column and paste it in the second column and check the print page set up and make sure the text is in the bottom center in its column and take the print out . After the print out is taken, cut the 8-1/2" by 11" sheet into half. This will be your two cards and next cut the vellum so that it fits above the Love You on the card. Line up the piece of vellum on your card front and hold it there while you punch a small hole on either side at the top . After that attach your mini brads. The next step is punch out a heart and attach to the card at the bottom, overlap the vellum . Now use glue and attach the vellum to the card under the punchier. This is because to hide the glue mark that will show through the vellum . Make sure that the vellum is secure under the punchier and at the top where the mini brads are situated. Once the glue is dry, send it to someone you love .
Heart Pocket Card:
This card is very simple to make and the material needed here is construction paper, crayons or markers, scissors and the Glue. Now cut the construction paper into two identical heart shapes . The next step is to decorate the hearts and use some of tips for decorating given below. Once you finished decorating your hearts, all you need to do is to glue them together to form a pocket . Now spread glue along the undecorated sides of one of the hearts . One last step is to press the other heart onto the glued heart, equal up the edges.
