With iJoomla SideBars you can create as many SideBars as you wish, place them on any page and customize their look using our "Advanced Style System" (no CSS knowledge necessary!) You'll be able to pack more information into one page and still keep your site as attractive as ever.

How to use:

First, install the extension:
 
1. Install the component (com_SideBars.zip)
2. The mambot (plugin) will be installed and published automatically

Accessing iJoomla SideBars

1. Select Components-> iJoomla SideBars from the drop-down menu.
2. Create a style by choosing Style Manager -> New.
3. Next, create a new SideBar by choosing SideBars Manager -> New.
4. Finally, choose the type of SideBar you'd like to add. Your options are:
• Article - Shows the intro text of an article of your choice with a link to the full article.
• Module - Displays any of your modules in the position of your choice.
• Poll - Shows any of your available polls created with Joomlas standard polls component.
• Banner - Displays any of your available banners. 
• Custom - Enter any content you choose in the HTML editor for display in the SideBar. You can enter Google AdSense code, YouTube code, etc.
• RSS Feeds - Displays an RSS feed of your choice
• Latest Articles - Displays the most recent articles from a selected category
5. Once you have chosen your SideBar type, complete the required fields and Save.
6. On the SideBar manager, you will now see the SideBar tag, for example:

   iJoomla Ad Agency for Joomla 1.5 is here!

   It's done! It took us months and far too much coffee but we've finally finished the conversion of the popular iJoomla Ad Agency to Joomla 1.5. We had to re-write most of the code to do it but that just means the coding is even better and cleaner than ever.

   New version of iJoomla Digistore V 1.3.3 (for Joomla 1.0)

   We've just released a new version of DigiStore for Joomla 1.0. This version introduces many great improvements and is already implemented on iJoomla.com successfully. Enjoy!

7. Click the Access Content Items link located on the right side of the SideBar manager to access your content items. Or, choose Content->all content items from the drop-down menu.

Placing Google AdSense ads in your articles is a great way to generate revenue using ads that match your content. You can place any of the Google AdSense banners or text ads in an AdSense SideBar, and then blend the SideBars into your articles which will help improve your clickthrough rates compared to AdSense ads that are not part of your articles. You can even use more than one Adsense SideBar on a page, and you can combine Google AdSense with other types of SideBars.

iJoomla SideBars lets you place advertising banners directly on your article pages, which frees you from having to depend on the placement and positioning of separate modules. Just create a Banner SideBars and add it to your article, anywhere you like. Yes, our 1.5 version works with legacy mode on as well as legacy mode off. It's your choice.

Once you create the SideBar, you will see a tag next to the SideBar name. Copy the tag and place it anywhere on your article content. The tag will be replaced by the SideBar. 

Yes, you can show a SideBar automatically on articles in any category you choose. You can even place them in more than one category. For example, to show a Google AdSense SideBar on all your news content, simple choose your news category. The AdSense SideBar will be displayed on all the articles in the category automatically. You can also choose to show the SideBar in the intro text or in the full text. 

Yes, you can add as many SideBars as you want to your articles, and place them in any position you choose. Simply place the tag where you'd like the SideBar to appear. 

Yes, the SideBar will align to the right by default, but you can have it align to the left by adding "align=left" to the tag. For example [SideBar id=x align=left]  (replace the "[" with "{" )

The SideBar will automatically change on the article to reflect your new design.

Yes. Using a "Custom SideBar," you can enter anything you want in the HTML editor, including images, text, links, promotions, etc.

Yes, easily. You just need to install the nifty Box mambot. You can download it here. After installation, you will be able to choose "round corners" in the style properties. 

Yes! Each Ad Agency zone is also a kind of module and has a module position assigned to it. To add a zone to a SideBar, just choose "Module" as the SideBar type, and select the zone’s module position.

No, iJoomla SideBars was designed as a stand-alone component has some enhancements and features not found in the SideBars used by iJoomla Magazine. iJoomla SideBar added capabilities include:

• Advanced style control system that lets you design your SideBars without needing to deal with CSS stylesheets
• Greater control over where on your site you can use SideBars. Joomla SideBars are not tied to particular articles.
• The ability to place SideBars anywhere on the page, to add more than one SideBar to the same page, and to use the same SideBar on many different pages.

Yes! Just make sure that you place the iJoomla SideBar tag lower than the iJoomla Magazine SideBar tag; the magazine SideBar will always appear on top. You can see an example here.
 
The banner is the iJoomla SideBar; the SideBar above it was added with iJoomla Magazine.

No, the license is for one domain only. You can, however install it on a testing domain as well. You can also use it on any sub domain and sub directory of that domain.
