USB Connector interfaces:
The USB A-style connector is a rectangular and flat interface. This helps in holding the connection in its place and makes the process of plugging and unplugging easy for the users. These types of interfaces use flat contacts instead of the pins, in order to withstand the continuous attachments.
The USB B-style connector is mainly designed for the use in the USB peripheral devices. Such types of connectors have a square shape with slightly chamfered corners from the top. Such types of USB connectors are used mainly on the peripheral devices. As in the case of the A-style connector, the B-style uses friction of the body for staying in place.
