plug-in works on localhost, but not on a server 6 Months, 3 Weeks ago
Hi.

Surprisingly, the plug-in works perfect on a test site I have on localhost, but when I try to use it on a site that resides on a server in my local network, nothing happens.

The same settings were applied on both sites. Here's what I did exactly:

1. installed and enabled the plug-in
2. configured the plug-in by adding the HTML I want to display
3. placed { popin } (without spaces) into the first article on the frontpage

Could anybody give me hints to track down the issue? The only difference between the two sites is that the frontpage article I used to put { popin } is also pointed to by top menu link I have on the site where the plug-in doesn't work. However, this shouldn't be an issue.

Thanks and regards,
Aleks

OK, now it doesn't work even on the localhost. I has re-saving articles and installing/uninstalling the plug-in in the meanwhile. Also, on another site in my LAN, the popin window worked at first, but after I've close it and added/deleted articles, it stopped working. Really weird!

What am I doing wrong here? Anybody?

After setting the 'Session Aware' option to 'No', the component started to function as I expected . Probably it is better to keep it as 'Session Aware' since the users will be pretty mad if they see the popin all the time when they visit the front page.

Session aware is a setting which means that the popin will only show once each time the browser is opened and visits the site. AS you are saying this makes sense especially for the popin on the frontpage, where you wouldn't want to see the popin each time you visit the frontpage, but the first time only
