Xampp Slide Menu problem 2 Years, 1 Month ago
Hi

I decided to install Xampp so that I could run Joomla! locally. No real problems until I installed slidemenu - which runs fine on my webhost. The problem I have is that I just get an error message in the place where the menu should be:

Warning: Parameter 1 to modSlideMenuHelper::buildSlideXML() expected to be a reference, value given in C:\xampp\htdocs\Joomla\libraries\joomla\cache\handler\callback.php on line 99

Any idea what I need to do?

Great module by the way. I've spent some time playing with the CSS to get it to look how I want. Don't want to use anything else. Hope someone can help.

Many Thanks

Mike

Found the problem - thought I'd post it in case anyone else has the same issue. I'd installed the latest version of xampp which is 1.7.3 at the time of writing - this turned out to be the problem. After doing a bit of research and installing an earlier version of 1.7.1 all is well.

Thanks for reading.

It's only a warning anyway, you can disable them and you'll have no problems...
