Anyone have any luck with the slidemenu and IE8 when using multipe modules?

Works fine in IE7 and Firefox but submenus are wrong in IE8. I see that Dart wrote:

Insert that into the head of your template.

As much as we would like to and although we make every effort, we cannot keep up with all the requests, changes, new browsers, etc

I really like this module - don't want to look for anything else.

I tried Dart's suggestion and also tried a joomla IE8 compatibility module - but no joy.

Any Suggestions?
