Problem Loosing Styling. 2 Years, 7 Months ago
Okay so here's an interesting problem I'm having with a new website I'm about to launch. I download this sliding menu because it fit most of my needs. My site is set to officially launch on July 20th and I'm in a crunch because I just discovered a strange issue.

When someone goes to the front page of www.averagejoeknows.com the dart menu looks perfect and exactly how I intended it to. When you go to the second levels, again everything looks fine. However, if you go to a sub-menu and then subsequently to another menu from there the Dart Menu loses it's styling and looks like a Vertical Legacy List. It's a little difficult to explain how to recreate the error. Let me post a link that should show the error.

www.averagejoeknows.com/computer-a-elect...cal-for-lower-speeds

If you go to this link you'll see that the menu has lost it's styling but then if you go back to the home page the menu returns to the dart styling. I'd really like to get this going correctly. I've posted a 5 star review on JED for this module but hopefully I can get a little support for this.

Specs:

Joomla 1.5.11 in Native - NON Legacy Mode
Original mod_menu Module unpublished
template: Colorful World Themza.

I still haven't gotten any response to this problem and I'm really anxious to get this website up and running for the public. This menu is the only thing that is holding me back on a full launch (advertising etc). I love this menu so much and really want to keep it.

The problem (Revisited): Is that the menu loses its styling when someone visits a direct link to a sub-category (such as the link listed above) or if someone navigates my menu. When you visit the link above (The deep link NOT the regular homepage) the menu is completely extended exposing all sub-menus and background images. The front page link shows how the website SHOULD look and fuction. There has to be a reason why it's losing it's styling. I have tried switching SEF off, using and not using sh404sef, using and not using Simple SEF. I've tried switching to and from legacy mode. I'm at a loss here. I'm watching to launch an advertising campaign for this site on July 20th so I'm kinda in a hurry. Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hey Eric, was away on vacation. Looks like the only thing lost is the arrow image. I suspect it is something to do with the SEF.

What you can try is edit the php file such that the links to the modules contain a / infront i.e. <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="modules/mod_slidemenu/ddlevelsfiles/ddlevelsmenu-base.css" />

becomes

<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="/modules/mod_slidemenu/ddlevelsfiles/ddlevelsmenu-base.css" />

Dart, Thanks for replying. Which .php file are you talking about. Hey I understand being on vacation, I'm on vacation right now, thank god for the millions of folks in the country that have unsecured wireless cards, I'm able to freebie internet all the time

Dart,

Thanks for the help. It does appear to resolve the issue, if you do not hear back from me again then consider it a success. Thanks.
