The current tip comes from the great man himself, Andrew Eddie from the Art of Joomla. Sometimes you need to display the current date or ideally the current year, typically in copyright notices or anywhere else required by your template. The following simple php function will allow you to easily achieve this.

Dart,

This did fix MY problem, but now the problem that you were actually referring to (The Arrows) vanishing is showing up to me. So see, now the menu isn't losing its styling as I was talking about, but now the arrows don't appear on any subsequent pages, only the front page. Oddly the menu still expands like it's supposed to, just not graphically. Because you mentioned SEF I again tried turning sef,sh404 and joomsef off. The problem exist irregardless. Thanks Dart for any suggestions.

i post this reply here, although there is an older post on the exact topic - The arrows (see below)!

So Dear Friends,

First of all, this is my first post on this forum, and i won't start with something else but,

THANKS DART!

You have developed a very nice module, which does a lot of the life much easier!

I DO NOT COMPLAIN!

Just wondering if you got a clue about how can one keep those arrows in place, even if on a second level page navigation. This is the same symptom described on the link above, and now, kaeldaven talks about it.

I edited the links in the php file, with no result. i tried to look if i get a problem in the css...couldn't find one. PLEASE, if you by any chance got a clue of it, just let me know!

Thanks a lot in Advance,
Adrian

Dart,

I found another similar post, on same issue on this forum.

I will subscribe to that thread as well, and wait, in case you found a solution, so you won't need to post twice, for me as well.

Lots of thanks again!

Adrian
