DC SLIDE MENU Customize the CSS style sheet? 4 Months, 4 Weeks ago
Hi,

I came across your menu system in the joomla extensions, it’s a good add-on to the website I’m building, I wanted customize the CSS style to suite the colour/design scheme my website.

I’ve been using firefox developer tool bar to customize the code, the three style sheets that make up the menu system show up in the browser, I can temporally amend the code within the style sheets below.

ddlevelsmenu-base.css
ddlevelsmenu-topbar.css
ddlevelsmenu-sidebar.css

But I can’t copy & paste the code into joomla because the style sheets don’t show up in the Template/Edit CSS page, I tried copying & pasting the code into my default.css file but this didn’t work.

So I created another style sheet (menu.css) in dreamweaver zipped up the file and installed into joomla. This also didn’t have an effect on the menu system.
I’m new to web-design and I’ve ran out of ideas how to customize your menu system.

Can you offer any advice on how to solve this problem?
Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks, Jason

Hi Jason,

Don't know if you have an answer already. I am quite new to DC SlideMenu as well.
I had some trouble changing the CSS-files too. It turned out they were write-protected.
Try change that with your FTP-software. You will find the three CSS-files in modules-mod_slidemenu_ddlevelfiles instead of the template_css you were looking in.

Hope this helps.

Sorry for no answering, but this forum is for Feature Requests, not support per se, so I sort of skipped it for. Can you use something like JoomlaXplorer to change the CSS files in the module of the menu? Its difficult to add the CSS to the template during installation of the module, this is why they remain in this place...
