I have just changed the module to mod_xyo_swf.

And it now works across the board.

The only issues is now it will not randomly pick one swf from a group of swf it only plays one.

I think i would need to change the php file to not use object tag but instead embed tag or change to swfobject. The mod_xyo_swf uses swfobject.

And as am not a php developer that would take some time. so if you have any thought. please let me know thanks for you time

I tried to find a common denominator for situations where the Random Flash module is not working. I could not find one apart from the fact that in my sistuation, I use a very simple and slimmed down template. Perhaps the moduel needs certain javascript libraries to be properly called in the template ?

Further, without much programming knwoledge, I was able to modify the built-in Joomla Random Image module to display randomflash files. Actually it does what I intended RandomFlash to do. Very crude and with a few flaws but sofar it works. But I would prefer the Random Flash module to work as now I no longer have a random image module at my disposal.

So your random flash module works in Firefox?

If you mean that the random image module that I modified works in FF3, the answer is yes. And it works in IE7.
