I'm having the same issue, and I have practically nothing running on my site (Joomla 1.5.7).

I still don't seem to be able to replicate the issue!

Have you downloaded the module from this site, and which version are you using?

I have download the module for paypal mod_j15paypal.
I manage to install it but when i publish it i get the following error:
Parse error: parse error in C:\wamp\www\modules\mod_j15paypal\mod_j15paypal.php on line 155
