I believe your database may need to be updated as it has hard paths to http://site/subfolder instead of http://site/

Joomlpack

I am a novice on Joomla and i have read a lot about moving Joomla from www.domain.com/cms to www.domain.com
It is important for SEO to do this correctly.
Not been a programmer I was scared to make amendments to files, so i discovered a much easier solution. A little timely but it invloves no amendments to files and it works perfectly. Actually so well i decide to write here about to help others out there with the same problem.
The answer is to use JoomlaPack.net
Basically with Joomlapacka (a Joomla component) do a back up. Load back up in any folder/root or even new domain and it reinstalls Joomla for you doing all the necessary amendments. AMAZING. I had my joomla site at www.salemi.co.uk/cms and moved it www.salemi.co.uk in 30 minutes, (with a slow internet connection)
Follow these instructions:
1. Download the relevant version of Joomlapack zip file at http://www.joomlapack.net/download/JoomlaPack-Components-download.html yes click through the mirror site and then choose the files tab and select the com_joomlapack-2.1-free.zip file it works fine is free and easy.
2. At the same url Download the \"documentation\" file for Joomlapack and read page 8. Simple explanation to follow instructions.
3. Download the kickstart zip file at same url http://www.joomlapack.net/download/JoomlaPack-Components-download.html
3. Install Joomlapack zip file into your current version of Joomla, just like you do with other components.
4 run a backup
5 copy this backup file to local pc (FTP it)
6 extract kickstart zip and upload its only file kickstart.php to the new directory where you wish to reinstall joomla.
7 FTP backup file to this same directory
8 Get rid of any other files in this directory if poss.
9 goto www.yournewjoomladirectory.com/kickstart.php
10. Enter your ftp details on this page THEN hit the green button.
11 When this finishes...instructions are clear. Click the 1st here. MAke sure you choose the 1st here ...i didn\'t and had to rerun everything.
12 Foolow the instructions in the new window that opens called JoomlaPack Installer..when complete close it
13 Return back to \"here\" page and then click the 2nd here.
14 opena new browser and type www.yournewjoomladirectory.com e VOILA.

Very easy just follow the instructions step by step...
No need to adjust codes...just have your site ftp user details and remember the default root will be \"public_html\".
Thnak you JOOMLAPACK for saving the day.
