#21 - Create quick Joomla internal content links

Creating links to your own content is not the easiest thing to do with Joomla. You have to find the article you want to link to, copy the address manually, then hit the Link button in the editor, and enter the URL to the content item.  This is obviously less than user friendly. Well JCE comes to the rescue.

 

 

With JCE linking to any existing content items within your site (including articles, sections, categories, weblinks ... ) is quick and easy. Click on the Link button, this brings up a window, which at the botton part, allows you to create links to existing content items. You just select Article, then use the drop down boxes to browse to the content item, and that's it. A shot of this being done is found below. Internal linking doesn't get any easier ...

You can link to any of the following Joomla items:

  • Section
  • Category
  • Static Content
  • Weblink
  • Contact
  • Menu

have you installed and activated JCE? Looks like you are still using the
TinyMCE editor.
