#45 - Writing your own Joomla Template 

One of the things we love about Joomla is that you can get a lovely looking site up and running in no time at all. This is thanks to the variety of templates / extensions and its ease of use.

Although there are many templates out there, sometimes you just want to create your own. Obviously this requires time to develop and we suggest going for a commercial template and customizing that rather than doing everything from scratch. However, for the ones who want to go all the way the template tutorial is an excellent resource.

The comments system is based on JoomlaComment. I believe a new version of this
component exist. However, I suggest you take a look at JomComment (link to the
right), its definetely the best Joomla Comment component out there.
