jafar  - a Question   |213.6.236.xxx |2008-08-04 14:08:34
this is a great extension for Joomla
but i have a question
how can i post it in
the front page in the bottom middle just beneath the news or articles there
not
on the left nor on the right

thanks in advance
best regards
DART  - Module placement   |Registered |2008-08-04 17:19:56
Hi jafar, the position where you put the map depends only on the template you
are using. You need to assign the module to a template position which
corresponds to the area you want.
Jafar  - Position   |213.6.251.xxx |2008-08-04 22:21:25
i am using the default template of Joomla, and i saw a demo for this extension
where the map is displayed beneath the news in the front page, so i am wondering
what is that position name.
thanks in advance
DART  - Position   |Registered |2008-08-05 05:32:34
Jafar, the position used in the demo is the footer position.

Hi, can you tell me how to set a particular initial zoom level, and centre of
map focus?

How did you achieve this with regards to your screen
shots?

Regards.

We've published a new version which removes the image link.

I downloaded my version from this page above, is that a latest version?
Or do
you have another link to the new version?
Thank you for all you do for this

DART  - Latest version   |SAdministrator |2008-08-31 06:37:32
Oscar, the new version replaced the older version with the image in the
Downloads section. If you downloaded it again after our comment, you should have
the latest version.

I was wondering, do the visitors need to be registered to the website to be
pinned? I've had the module running for a few days now and only have two pins
while a lot of unregistered users have visited the site.
varma  - Blank page after publishing   |Registered |2008-09-03 03:39:32
I published this module and configured the API that i was using for
gmaps.

The next moment my home page is turned to blank

I unpublished and
my site up again. Could you please let me know if there is any known issue. I
love to have this module on my website
DART  - Blank Page   |SAdministrator |2008-09-03 06:03:12
Varma, please get in touch via Contact Us with address and possibly admin access
so that we may troubleshoot.
DART  - Markers   |SAdministrator |2008-09-03 06:07:37
... do take a bit of time to start showing up. It is important that your server
has access to the URL http://api.hostip.info since this is used to determine the
coorodinates of the current user.
explorien86  - markers   |Registered |2008-09-04 01:11:58
Dart;
The http://api.hostip.info URL works perfectly for myself, (and on the
visitor map too) but for one of my testers the URL doesnt show any info at all
on where they are located, is there a firewall/routing issue there?
glitch?
Thanks
DART  - Markers   |SAdministrator |2008-09-04 06:24:21
If its works on the server which hosts the Joomla site, then it should show up
fine. If the IP does not produce any location info, it won't show up on the
visitor map

Hi,
the module works fine, yet an error message is displayed above the
map.
Hope you have an answer,
greetings
Bernhard
DART  - Error message   |SAdministrator |2008-10-07 17:38:55
This is just a warning. You should disable PHP warnings on your website, by
putting:

display_errors = Off

in your php.ini file
Bernhard  - Error message   |212.45.32.xxx |2008-10-08 10:05:04
Hi,
If it is just a warning and I don;t have access to php.ini...
...I inserted
the line: error_reporting(0);
into mod_j15visitormap.php That solves it
too!
Thanks,
Bernhard

Excellent, good to know you're sorted.
vickis  - New feature is fantastic!!   |Registered |2008-10-21 19:03:43
Joomla Visitor Map was great already, but with the added parameters of latitude,
longitude and zoom it's even better, especially for those who are not [yet]
looking at the world for their custom. Many thanks for an excellent and easy to
use product!

indiobestia  - Problem Joomla 1.5   |71.133.125.xxx |2009-01-15 23:56:34
I don't know if it is a known issue or something, but I installed the module and
where ever I publish it, that whole page does not display
I have my API key for
the site, my longitude and latitude and everything, but it does not give me any
error, just does not displays a blank page.

Have you heard about something like
this before?

Thanks.
DART  - Does not display   |Administrator |2009-01-16 06:22:23
Noone has reported this before. Its probably throwing some kind of error,
however unless you can see the error, its hard to determine what is really
cuasing it

I got a problem
Darren  - Map of Registered Users     |140.247.26.xxx |2009-01-25 19:26:51
This module is great - is there a way to modify it so that registered users can
enter their location, and then have the module display a map of the locations of
all registered users? Thanks!
DART  - Feature Request   |Administrator |2009-01-26 13:56:08
